The 11th annual J. D. Powers investor satisfaction survey was recently released. The encouraging news is that client satisfaction is substantially higher across the board than it was in 2009, at the bottom of the market. For the firms scoring poorly, Powers gave two reasons: Clients of those firms are not clear about the financial plans developed for them and they do not readily see the value the Advisor brings to the relationship.
